Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible to manage client and client communications, project reviews, planning, final design, procurement of equipment and materials, scheduling of resources, milestone billing and all other implementation activities for our commercial projects. The Project Manager is the single point of contact for our client and will have the responsibility to execute projects to ensure that the project scope and objectives are accomplished within the agreed upon cost budget while adhering to project management best practices based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor/Control and Complete multiple projects varying in size and complexity
  • Set a realistic timeline and consistently meet the benchmarks within it
  • Readjust and communicate the schedule as necessary to ensure timely delivery of the final project
  • Manage the financial plan and consistently evaluate the project budget
  • Manage day to day interaction with the client, build relationships and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Identify and respond to potential issues throughout the life of the project to minimize potential negative impacts
  • Perform proactive Risk Management – Asses the project/solution risk, communicate and administer mitigation plans
  • Requisition equipment as required to accommodate the project scope and schedule
  • Project status reporting, meeting minutes and actions
  • Establish and maintain the project communication plan providing updates to the project team as well as the internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the quality of the client deliverables
  • Implement projects in accordance with the scope of work and create/document project change orders as required

Accountability: 
The Project Manager will be accountable to the Director of Project Management.  Secondary accountability will be to the other management team members and employees of the company.

Travel: 
Local travel required.  Some overnight travel required.

Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management or a related field (and/or equivalent work experience) with a minimum of three to five years working with Audio Visual Solutions or commercial construction preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Project Managing technology (AV preferred) projects
  • CAPM, PMP or RTPM preferred
  • CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) and CTS+ preferred

  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and role-specific applications.
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills that allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
