JOB SUMMARY:
The qualified Systems Administrator will manage, maintain, and troubleshoot DGI’s infrastructure. Research, design, test, and implement hardware and software projects as assigned. Assist the helpdesk as an escalation resource.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administration of Windows and Linux Server infrastructure.
- Administration of Azure, and VMware infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure and applications to ensure high levels of availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues on Servers, Storage, Networking, and within Applications.
- Monitor systems and make recommendations on future needs in conjunction with department managers.
- Assist in network security operations through regular log reviews and patching of all servers and hardware as necessary to keep systems up to date and secure.
- Creation and maintenance of written documentation on new and existing systems.
- Regular monitoring and testing of backups to ensure reliability.
- Coordinate and schedule installation of software system upgrades.
- Train and provide documentation to end users on new or modified systems and networks.
- Assists the helpdesk as an escalation resource and overflow resource as needed to assist end users.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server deployment and administration, Azure, Linux, Office 365 Admin Support.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and address needs of users.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Veeam backup and replication experience
- Meraki and Cisco configuration
- SQL query and SSRS/BI reporting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences or 4+ years of experience managing and maintaining Windows, VMware or other relevant infrastructure.
- 2+ years of related systems administration experience.
