DGI has created a new holiday tradition of generosity this season, partnering with Hope NH to donate Christmas gifts to children in need.
Joe Venturini, a supporter of Hope NH and a DGI partner, hosts an annual Christmas event to bring in collections for the charity. About the event, he said, “I find life moves so fast that it’s often difficult for us to take the time to recognize our good fortunes. It’s important to slow down and recognize these blessings, realizing that not all families are so fortunate. The core of the Holiday Spirit is that we share our good fortune with others. Hoping in some small way we can re-enforce goodwill, ease the hardship for the parents, and make a few memories in the process.” 
In that spirit, DGI collected gifts for and contributed to a total of 507 children this year. The day after the event, those donations were delivered to Hope NH for sorting and distribution to local families.
DGI CEO Mike Walsh shared, “The whole DGI family is grateful for the success we achieved in 2022 and this was an ideal way to give back. We are already looking forward to continuing the tradition in 2023!”
Helping Our Pupils Excel NH Inc. (HOPE NH Inc) is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit organization whose objective is to identify at risk students in danger of not meeting their full potential, as early as 6th grade. The focus is to hone and enhance a mentee’s strengths and capacities to be a productive member of the community.
