DGI is proud to be on the list of contractors that helped this project win 1st place!

Partnership, collaboration, vision, connection. The world of business communication changes by the minute, requiring innovative audio-visual solutions that transcend industry boundaries, and branding and messaging results that go above and beyond the client’s vision, time and time again. When those solutions and results are part of a larger plan to create opportunity within the community, choosing a partner to bring your brand’s vision to life is critical.

Since 1843, Stanley Black & Decker has created the tools and innovative solutions to get the job done. When they opened Manufactory 4.0 — a 23,000-square-foot facility they refer to as “Our Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence” in Hartford, Conn. in 2019 — they partnered with more than a dozen contractors, including DGI Technologies, to complete the project.

The goal of Manufactory 4.0 was to establish and house the Stanley+Techstars’ additive manufacturing (AM) accelerator program and bring more AM startups to Hartford. Manufactory 4.0 houses tech-entrepreneurs with a goal of accelerating Stanley’s global “ smart factory” initiative. DGI’s commitment to brand experiences that resonate, inspire and transform was a perfect fit for the team.

Manufactory 4.0 was recently awarded first place in the Connecticut Building Congress (CBC)’s 2020 Project Team Awards for the commercial/industrial (small) category.

According to the CBC’s website: “Stanley’s commitment to Hartford and their community partners were at the forefront of this collaboration. This vision influenced each decision, leading to visual and physical connections within the facility and beyond to the city. As a fast track project, simultaneous and flexible decisions were made to meet the schedule, driving collaboration between the team. The owner, architect and engineers worked to create an adaptable environment with flexible distribution systems for staff and evolving equipment. While the contractors worked with the design team to provide installations, which were adjusted to meet programmatic, design and budgetary goals.”

DGI is proud to be a part of this award-winning partnership, providing a large-scale interior LED video wall featuring audio and video conferencing, configured to allow for remote management of the AV equipment and a second LED video wall near the street-facing windows for Stanley Black & Decker branded signage.
